About The Position

The Salesforce Business Analyst supports enterprise Salesforce initiatives by partnering with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to analyze business processes and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions. This role is responsible for requirements gathering, process improvement, solution definition, testing coordination, and user adoption activities. The position works across multiple business functions to improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and support data-driven decision-making within a complex public-sector environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
  • 7 or more years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Hands-on experience supporting Salesforce platforms, including configuration, reporting, and workflow automation
  • Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements
  • Experience analyzing and improving business processes
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments
  • Experience developing and executing UAT plans and testing activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, or related Salesforce certifications
  • Experience supporting government, transportation, or public-sector organizations
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, or similar project management tools
  • Experience with APIs, integrations, middleware, or data migration initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business users, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams
  • Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and process improvement
  • Create and maintain business requirements documents, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria
  • Translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions
  • Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, developers, architects, and vendors to design and implement solutions
  • Support the configuration and enhancement of Salesforce objects, workflows, validation rules, reports, dashboards, and automation processes
  • Assist with system integrations, data migration activities, and platform enhancements
  • Ensure solutions align with business objectives and operational requirements
  • Facilitate backlog grooming and refinement sessions with product owners and stakeholders
  • Participate in sprint planning, sprint reviews, and Agile ceremonies
  • Prioritize enhancements and ensure requirements are development-ready
  • Support project teams throughout the solution delivery lifecycle
  • Develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies, test plans, test scripts, and test scenarios
  • Coordinate and facilitate UAT sessions with business users and stakeholders
  • Document defects, track issue resolution, and obtain business sign-off prior to production deployment
  • Support regression testing and validation activities
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support operational and management reporting
  • Assist with data quality initiatives, master data management, and governance activities
  • Support compliance reporting and performance monitoring efforts
  • Ensure data integrity and usability across Salesforce solutions
  • Develop user training materials, knowledge transfer documentation, and standard operating procedures
  • Provide training and support to end users
  • Support post-implementation activities including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and user adoption
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for system functionality and business processes
  • Ensure solutions comply with accessibility standards, security policies, privacy requirements, and organizational guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Build strong partnerships across business units and technology teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and change management activities
