Salesforce Automated Test Engineer

About The Position

DPCG is currently seeking qualified candidates in anticipation of an upcoming CBP contract award. We are collecting resumes now and will contact qualified candidates to discuss potential opportunities upon contract award. The Salesforce Automated Test Engineer builds and maintains the automated test coverage that lets a Salesforce Center of Innovation release with confidence. You will write repeatable tests for configuration, code, workflows, and interfaces, and grow regression coverage as the platform grows. This is a build role rather than a manual QA role. The goal is a suite that runs on every deployment and catches problems before anyone else sees them. It suits an engineer who would rather automate a test once than run it fifty times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in software testing, test automation, Salesforce, or enterprise IT.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator.
  • Test automation frameworks such as Provar, Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Apex unit testing and test coverage practices.
  • GitLab and DevSecOps pipeline integration for automated test execution.
  • Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud or other FedRAMP environments.
  • Prior federal or public sector experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain automated test suites covering Salesforce configuration, code, workflows, interfaces, and platform services.
  • Grow regression coverage so each release is validated against a widening safety net.
  • Integrate automated tests into DevSecOps pipelines so they run on every deployment.
  • Maintain test scripts as the platform changes so the suite stays trustworthy and false failures stay rare.
  • Develop and execute functional, regression, and integration tests across Salesforce and connected systems.
  • Create repeatable test cases and scripts that others on the team can run and extend.
  • Build and maintain test data sets that exercise realistic conditions.
  • Document defects with clear evidence and reproduction steps so they can be fixed without a second conversation.
  • Verify fixes before release and confirm that regression coverage will catch the issue going forward.
  • Report on test coverage, pass rates, and quality trends across releases.
  • Validate releases across sandbox environments ahead of production deployment.
  • Test through Salesforce's three annual releases and flag breaking changes early.
  • Support application teams in adopting test practices and using the automation suite.
