About The Position

BTU Building Materials, a Nation’s Best Holdings, LLC company, is seeking a Sales associate at its Las Vegas, New Mexico location. The role focuses on customer service, product recommendations, sales, store presentation, and supporting inventory and day-to-day store operations. Associates work hands-on with the team to create a positive customer experience and contribute to a clean, safe, and organized store. The position may also assist in other departments or functions as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Proficiency using computers and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Strong customer service skills and willingness to go the extra mile to meet customer needs.
Ability to work as part of a team, help where needed, and contribute to a positive work environment.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to anticipate customer needs and provide effective solutions.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible and adaptable.
Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing 25–50 lbs and to bend, twist, squat, and reach throughout the shift.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as required by the business.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or related industry experience.
Familiarity with cycle counting or inventory processes.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers, greet them, and assist them to create a positive shopping experience.
Help customers find appropriate products, provide recommendations, and offer project solutions.
Stock and organize merchandise to maintain a clean, well-presented store.
Answer phone calls politely and promptly and address customer inquiries.
Assist with inventory tasks, including cycle counts, verifying stock levels, and maintaining accurate records.
Upsell related items and promote the Do It Best reward program.
Follow company standards and procedures for store operations.
Process checkouts accurately and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
Expand product knowledge across departments to improve service and identify selling opportunities.
Address and resolve customer issues with management support.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Complete assigned training on product knowledge and company policies.
Assist in other departments or functions as needed to provide customer service.
Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors or management.
