About The Position

TENEX is seeking a Sales Trainer to join their rapidly growing team. This role is crucial for scaling the go-to-market organization by ensuring all sellers, from SDRs to enterprise account executives, are proficient and effective in selling a technical, AI-driven security product. The Sales Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs that accelerate ramp time, enhance field performance, and improve overall rep effectiveness. This is an individual-contributor role with a significant impact on rep performance and a focus on building enablement that drives measurable results.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in sales enablement, sales training, or quota-carrying B2B sales experience, with ideally experience in both selling and enablement roles.
  • Experience selling or enabling technical products, preferably in cybersecurity, SaaS, or another fast-moving B2B technology category.
  • A proven track record of building training programs that demonstrably shortened ramp time or improved rep performance.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to engage an audience (virtual or in-person) and provide actionable feedback.
  • Fluency in modern sales methodologies such as MEDDICC, Command of the Message, Challenger, or similar, and the ability to teach them.
  • Comfort with enablement tooling, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), call-recording/conversation-intelligence platforms (e.g., Gong), and CRM (Salesforce or similar).
  • Excellent communication and content-creation skills.
  • A self-starter mindset suited to a remote, fast-scaling environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or experience selling to security buyers (CISO, security engineering).
  • Experience establishing an enablement function or onboarding program at a high-growth startup.
  • Familiarity with selling AI or automation-driven products to technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run sales onboarding programs for new SDRs, AEs, and sales engineers to ensure they are selling confidently within their first 90 days.
  • Deliver ongoing enablement sessions, both live and virtual, covering sales methodology, discovery, objection handling, competitive positioning, and demo skills.
  • Provide coaching in the flow of work through call reviews, role-plays, and 1:1 coaching to reinforce skills and address performance gaps identified by sales managers.
  • Partner with product marketing and Sales Engineers (SEs) to help reps effectively communicate the value of TENEX's AI-native MDR to both technical and executive buyers.
  • Create and maintain enablement content, including playbooks, talk tracks, certification paths, and just-in-time resources, utilizing enablement and LMS tools.
  • Drive adoption of a consistent sales framework (e.g., MEDDICC / Command of the Message) across the sales team through training and inspection.
  • Track and report on key metrics such as ramp time, certification completion, and the correlation between enablement activities and pipeline/win-rate metrics to GTM leadership.
  • Continuously refine enablement programs based on feedback from reps and managers to adapt to new products, market segments, and competitors.
