About The Position

As a Sales Trainee, you will support sales activities including price tracking, system updates, and assisting Key Account Managers with daily tasks for key customers. This role is ideal for a local intern or recent graduate seeking full-time employment and the opportunity to start as soon as possible.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a program working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field OR recent graduate.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with ensuring the competitiveness and full-compliance of Valeo offers with customer expectations and requirements.
  • Ensure customers' requirements are identified and understood by project teams.
  • Determine sales price objectives based on market knowledge and competitor positioning.
  • Implement pricing strategy in the CAA (contract approval application).
  • Initiate and conduct actions to submit competitive quotations within time limits.
  • Participate in project teams to represent the customer's viewpoint on quality, costs, and delivery times.
  • Educate customers on new technologies, products, and solutions to ensure attractive offers.
  • Align and tailor customer messages with the Project Management team.
  • Assist in driving negotiations during the business acquisition process.
  • Deliver commercial insights and guide customers towards recommended actions by discussing alternatives and reinforcing value.
  • Keep the PG organization informed of negotiation and competition status.
  • Review and negotiate new contracts, nominations, or any contracts with customers, adhering to group policies and CAAs.
  • Assist in preparing the budget, managing, and reporting selling prices and order intake target lists.
  • Be responsible for customer turnover and its evolution.
  • Prepare CDP (customer development plan), MTP (mid-term planning), and budget for the customer.
  • Assist with operational responsibilities.
  • Operate at a regional level.
  • Negotiate prices for modifications (technical, volumes, raw material, inflation) and market effects.
  • Build and negotiate productivity plans.
  • Liaise with Sales Administration to ensure price updates.
  • Manage customer relationships during claims and logistic/quality crises.
  • Monitor and take necessary actions to reduce overdues.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators: Order Intake, Turnover, Market Shares, Price Management (SPI), Overdues.
