This position supports the daily operations of a liquor store by guiding clerks, assisting customers, and keeping the store safe and organized. Your work will focus on exceptional customer service, monitoring inventory, implementing store procedures, and helping to lead staff through daily responsibilities.
Requirements
- Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of retail sales work.
- You must meet the PA residency requirement.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
- You must pass a background investigation.
- An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
- Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers, help them find products, and respond to questions and concerns
- Monitor stock levels, record counts, and update inventory information
- Support opening and closing activities to keep the store secure and ready for business
- Count money, manage cash drawers, and prepare deposits according to store rules
- Operate registers, scan products, and resolve issues with pricing or transactions
- Stock shelves, build displays, and ensure products are neat and easy for customers to view
