Requirements

• Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of retail sales work.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, resolve concerns, and guide them to needed products
• Monitor merchandise levels and update electronic inventory systems
• Ensure opening, closing, and daily routines follow established standards
• Maintain accurate cash counts, prepare deposits, and control access to the safe
• Operate registers, verify POS information, and resolve pricing or product discrepancies
• Assign tasks, train new employees, and oversee daily workflow
