About The Position

We are seeking a Sales Tax Associate to join our Finance department at Kravet LLC. As a Sales Tax Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of sales tax returns and related documentation. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be key in this role. This position is responsible for sales tax compliance, which includes, but is not limited to, obtaining proper certification from customers, applying it to their account and crediting and refunding any sales tax charged.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and G Suite products
• Skilled in extensive phone and email correspondence with clients and internal teams
• Demonstrated ability to proactively take charge and excel within team dynamics or autonomously

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Oracle or similar EBS system preferred
• Familiarity with sales tax procedures advantageous
• Accounting knowledge beneficial
• Possess a friendly demeanor, able to collaborate effectively and self-motivated in a dynamic setting

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update customer sales tax profiles seamlessly within Avalara and Oracle.
• Obtain, review, and validate sales tax exemption and resale certificates from B2B customers.
• Prepare, verify, and input sales tax credits and credit card refunds into the Oracle system.
• Partner with customer service and internal finance teams to efficiently resolve sales tax discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing and submitting monthly/quarterly sales tax reports for relevant tax authorities.
• Lend a hand with ad-hoc accounting tasks and special finance projects as needed.
