About The Position

The Sales Support Specialist is a non-exempt position within the Trucks & Parts and Services Distribution Center and reports directly to the Branch Manager. This role is based in Fresno, California. Provide administrative and customer service support to the sales team and branch locations within Betts Truck Parts & Service Support sales operations including order entry, product tracking, reporting, and customer communication Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate, timely order processing and high customer satisfaction Maintain a high level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail in all interactions

Requirements

  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative support
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP/CRM systems
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple departments to ensure successful order execution
  • High accuracy in data entry and order management
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and time-sensitive information appropriately
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills when addressing customer or system issues
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull materials of varying weights
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk on various surfaces, bend, reach, twist, and perform fine motor tasks
  • Ability to operate vehicles (automatic and standard transmission), keyboards, and other office or warehouse-related equipment

Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team with customer inquiries, quoting, and order entry
  • Coordinate sales orders from receipt through fulfillment, including tracking and follow-up
  • Work closely with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely shipping and delivery of parts
  • Maintain and update internal records and reports related to customer activity, order status, and product availability
  • Communicate with customers regarding product availability, shipping updates, and order resolution
  • Assist in resolving customer issues related to pricing, returns, credits, or delivery discrepancies
  • Collaborate with branch teams and service departments to support daily operational needs
  • Ensure data integrity across systems and assist in managing customer accounts and contact records
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration
  • Assist the warehouse with product check-in, cycle counts, and inventory controls
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
