Job Summary The position of Sales Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the company’s sales professionals as it relates to customer needs. They are responsible for expediting the completion of administrative tasks that are required for company processes. This will involve working with other departments to resolve issues related to order processing, quote generation, sample submission, and other inventory/shipping related tasks. The SSS provides strategic and operational support to the sales team and manages administrative duties with other staff functions to ensure appropriate resources are available and focused to support selling objectives. The SSS is accountable for providing additional support to the District Managers, including but not limited to, lead outreach and qualification, quote generation, daily order confirmation, planning/coordinating team events/meetings, and completing other administrative tasks. You will also extensively build customer relationships and provide all-around support to our customers and sales team.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of related bio industry or customer support experience
  • Minimum of Associate’s degree in a biotech-related and/or marketing/sales/administrative field
  • Previous experience in Sales or other customer-facing related roles.
  • To perform this job successfully candidates must be familiar with computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel and CRM (Salesforce.com)
  • Dedication to providing great customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management
  • Ability to work independently and with teams.
  • Passion to positively promote and drive success on company initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial activities through customer-facing phone calls and e-mails as appropriate.
  • Work with the Regional Sales Managers to develop and execute territory sales plans.
  • Lead validation and qualification
  • Extend and develop relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Maintains sales activities, efforts and client information within SalesForce
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, Technical Support, and other internal teams to define outreach opportunities
  • Other projects or responsibilities may be required.
