About The Position

Grain Millers in Eden Prairie is seeking a full-time Sales Support Specialist! Grain Millers, Inc. is a leading manufacturer and merchandiser of whole grain ingredients utilized in food products served around the world. We have supplied food and dairy ingredients to virtually every large food company in the world for 40 years. We employ nearly 1000 associates throughout North America. Our Eden Prairie, MN headquarters is the hub of our Support infrastructure. Our manufacturing facilities are in MN, IA, WI, IN, OR and Canada. As a vital member of our team, your role as Sales Support is crucial in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining customer satisfaction. You'll be the first point of contact for our valued clients, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring orders are processed efficiently. Your contribution ensures that our sales processes run seamlessly, ultimately enhancing our reputation and customer loyalty. You'll be part of a collaborative team of sales professionals where you'll play a key role in supporting their success. From sales managers to valued customers, you'll work closely with a diverse group of dedicated individuals, contributing to our shared goals and fostering a supportive environment. Requirements

  • Two years of post-high school education or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Must be detail oriented, motivated and demonstrate initiative.
  • Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
  • Proficient in basic accounting skills, and the ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Strong computer (Word, Excel, and Outlook), presentation and data handling skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with vendors, customers, and third parties in a professional manner.
  • Ability to understand the basics of measurements/weights and currency.

Responsibilities

  • Speaks with customers by phone concerning general inquiries, orders, shipments and products.
  • Receives and enters orders, coordinating and processing orders with customers and the mill.
  • Contacts customers to advise shipment dates/delays and/or information necessary to process orders.
  • Facilitates shipment dates/logistics with the plant personnel and communicates to all interested parties in a respectful, professional and mature manner.
  • Verifies sales orders for correct pricing, delivery dates and ensures accuracy of the order entry.
  • Maintains and updates the customer files with respect to customer profile information.
