ECHO is looking for a detailed, analytical, and customer-centric Sales Support Specialist to join our dynamic and collaborative Sales Operations Team! The salary range for this position is $50,000-$55,000 based on experience and qualifications. This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility. Requirements

  • Prior sales support or account management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team with general operations to help reach the team’s objectives.
  • Coordinate sales team activities by processing important documents and communicating relevant information.
  • Ensure the seamless process for onboarding new customers by collecting information needed by cross-functional teams, tracking approvals, and ensuring the customer is set up in a timely manner.
  • Manage and monitor various programs and requirements to ensure compliance with business and customer expectations.
  • Identify product information requirements for customers and work cross-functionally to collect product data, understand product lifecycle, and ensure price changes and product specifications/images are available to sales to communicate to customers.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for The Sales Team to research/resolve inquiries that require follow-up with customers or other departments.
  • Respond to issues with customers and give after-sales support when requested.
  • Coordinate payment functions including customer discounts, rebates, or sales expense tracking. This includes creating/updating processing procedures, calculating rebate amounts, and requesting credits/debits to customers.
  • Track payment activities monthly and working with accounting on inquiries pertaining to credits/debits, accruals, and A/R reconciliations.
  • Provide reports as requested to monitor budget activity related to customer programs as well as sales expenses.
  • Participate in developing sales operations, attend sales meetings, and assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.
  • Meets regularly with Sales, Accounting, and Customer Service to ensure processes are working smoothly and efficiently.
  • Partner with IT on implementation, system breaks/fixes, and testing as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement by documenting processes and working cross-functionally to implement process changes as needed.
  • Ensure serial numbers, warranty claims, and titles for large equipment are tracked and processed as needed.
