About The Position

Maine Technical Source is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to work from their office and showroom in Wappingers Falls, NY. Maine Technical Source (MTS) is a privately owned company that supplies surveyors, engineers, contractors and architects with the world’s finest technical and measurement tools, supplies, software, training, and service from locations in ME, MA, and NY. MTS’ success is built on offering customers cutting edge products while providing old-fashioned customer service. KMA HR Consulting has been engaged to manage this search. Requirements

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service supporting technical products preferred; experience in construction/engineering/surveying a plus.
  • Interest and aptitude to learn technical specifications of the products, explain the technology to customers and troubleshoot issues.
  • Support the MTS team in a variety of areas that include sales and customer service.
  • Strong customer service skills, excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and keen attention to detail
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work from the Wappingers Falls office/showroom Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, and ability to travel to other office sites (ME, MA), trade shows and client sites. Requires regular travel (approximately three days per week).

Responsibilities

  • Support the MTS sales and office team by demonstrating surveying, engineering, and construction instruments, answering customer questions, assisting with setup, and providing product training.
  • Travel to customer locations to retrieve equipment and complete check‑ins.
  • Provide pricing structure details, and technical support to customers.
  • Stay up to date on new technology regarding hardware and software solutions through self-guided learning, vendor training, and other resources.
