About The Position

This Sales Support Specialist will work with the Outside Sales Representative Team to ensure that client needs are addressed accurately and efficiently. This position will help support multiple client sites and handle a wide variety of questions while ensuring a world-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Sales Support & motivated to work with a customer centric team in an innovative company. This position is supporting Labcorp’s Mid-America Division. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 year or more of related business experience and relevant work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree
  • 1 or more years experience in a medical or healthcare setting
  • 1 or more years experience with patient-facing administrative tasks, including patient check-in etc.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role; demonstrates courtesy and a customer‑focused approach.
  • Proven ability to capture information, identify issues, and determine when escalation is appropriate.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen and respond thoughtfully.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment, such as a physician’s office, laboratory, and/or hospital setting.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Labcorp processes and systems (e.g., LCLS, LCBS, Salesforce, eAssist).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Working understanding of operational processes across various areas of the organization, including lab, branch, and billing.
  • Ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between physician offices, Sales Representatives, and other internal laboratory departments.
  • Point person for new account requests, pricing requests, billing inquiries, connectivity needs.
  • Participate in campaigns and special projects as needed.
  • Ability to structure issues and problem solve in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Inquire, clarify, and confirm customer requirements and understanding of the solution.
  • Work in multiple databases to research complex issues, answer questions, and assist in finding a resolution.
  • Participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies (redraws)and laboratory procedures.
