About The Position

Our team currently has an opening for a Sales Support Specialist Personal Care. The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for supporting and assisting the outside sales team in a designated region/territory. The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for providing sales support as well as maintaining and updating CRM sales related information including samples, opportunities, product variance comments, forecast notes, marketing intelligence, and call summaries. The Sales Support Specialist will also interact with customers. The main focus is to assist the sales team so they can spend more time in front of customers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 5 years + of relevant experience in customer service.
  • Database software skills.
  • Ability to learn ERP System.
  • Spreadsheet software skills.
  • Word Processing software skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and assists the outside sales team in a designated region/territory.
  • Provides sales support.
  • Maintains and updates CRM sales related information including samples, opportunities, product variance comments, forecast notes, marketing intelligence, and call summaries.
  • Interacts with customers.
  • Assists the sales team so they can spend more time in front of customers.
  • Processes sample requests.
  • Follows up on samples / backorders.
  • Assists with next steps and action items as required by the business.
  • Develops working knowledge of the top customers for each salesperson and assist the sales team in further development of those accounts.
  • Assists with customer requests / documents.
  • Provides additional support as per business requirements.
  • Assists in tracking KPI’s for Account Managers as determined by the Sales Managers.
  • Assists in keeping Opportunities updated in CRM.
  • Assists in tracking Special Pricing Requests (SPR) business pull through.
  • Helps track and assists with the execution of sales growth plans.
  • Assists with Gross Profit (GP) percentage tracking and in the proactive correction of declining profits where possible (i.e., identifies and makes sales team aware of trends).
  • Assists / maintain changes needed for Account Segmentation review and Industry changes spreadsheet.
