About The Position

The Sales Support Intern at MarineMax provides comprehensive support to Sales Consultants and the Service Department. This role involves direct customer interaction, assisting with boat deliveries and demonstrations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The intern will also contribute to sales event support, facility maintenance, and the professional presentation of products. Key aspects include managing fuel expenditures, reporting inventory maintenance needs, and actively participating in company training and upholding MarineMax's mission and values.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and assistance for boat deliveries and demonstrations
  • Provide boat handling and operation assistance to MarineMax boat owners as directed
  • Pick up and return customer owned watercraft as needed for customer accommodation
  • Help as necessary to optimize the ability of the sales staff to maximize sales opportunities
  • Assist the Service department as needed for customer accommodation
  • In coordination with MarineMax management execute tasks daily as requested
  • Document all fuel expenditures with receipts showing IDS unit stock numbers and description of expense type (customer delivery, demo boat, etc.)
  • Report damage requiring repair and routine maintenance required for all inventory promptly with an assessment of parts needed to return the inventory to a sellable condition
  • Promote an attitude of customer accommodation and support for all MarineMax patrons
  • Resolve any customer complaints to the customer's satisfaction in accordance with company policy and managerial direction
  • Participate in MarineMax training as assigned by your supervisor
  • Consistently and enthusiastically embrace MarineMax mission statement and values
  • Keep personal work area clean, neat and organized
  • Help to ensure the proper maintenance and appearance of the facility and product displays daily and report any actions required to General Manager
  • Assist in maintaining a professional presentation of the products represented by MarineMax
  • Inspect showroom inventory routinely for proper presentation and cleanliness
  • Arrange cushions and canvas
  • Call for repairs as needed
  • Clean minor footprints and stains as observed - call for prompt detail as needed
  • Routinely inspect outside inventory and call out items needing detail or attention of any kind
  • Assist with boat show and event setup and tear down
  • Transport boats to and from shows
  • Provide any assistance necessary or requested
