About The Position

Apptium is looking for an experienced Sales Support Engineer to join our Sales team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in bridging the gap between our technical capabilities and customer needs, collaborating with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support through the sales cycle. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with business insight to support the sales cycle, develop tailored solutions, and demonstrate the business value of Apptium’s products to prospective customers.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or relevant field.
  • 5+ years proven work experience in a Sales Engineer or Technical Sales role, preferably in the technology or software industry.
  • Strong background in Cloud, SaaS, and enterprise software ideally with experience selling to telcos, managed service providers, or distributors
  • Solid understanding with hands on experience in digital and commerce technologies.
  • Familiarity with software architecture, APIs, and front-end development.
  • Experience in conducting product demonstrations and technical presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Solid experience with MS Office (particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to identify, qualify, and close opportunities by aligning Apptium’s solutions with customer objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive discovery sessions to understand customer requirements, challenges, and technical environments.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations that highlight Apptium’s value proposition.
  • Support the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including RFP/RFI responses, solution design, and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Translate complex technical features into clear business outcomes for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to share customer feedback and influence product roadmap decisions.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive solutions to ensure Apptium’s offerings remain differentiated.
  • Travel to support client engagements and industry events as needed.
