About The Position

Reporting to the Sales Support Leader, the Sales Support Associate understands employee benefits data, pricing and the ability to compare the data across companies. The role works closely with both sales and service and interacts with advisors on a daily basis. Sales Support Associates must be able to interact with all of these constituents in an educated and informed manner. They must understand the “why” behind the “how” and have strong critical thinking skills.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a business or technical discipline – or equivalent industry experience (1 - 3 years)
  • Strong critical thinking skills with an analytical approach
  • Adept with numbers, formulas and ability to read, compare and understand data
  • Intermediate to advanced skill in Excel, with a keen ability to learn and work within other software programs (RS4, ARC, Salesforce etc)
  • Proficient in using Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe; aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Excellent time management and organization: ability to prioritize multiple tasks and expectations, ability to plan and organize work, meets deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal. Responds promptly to requests; tact, courteous, and patient in all communications internal and external

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Financial Services industry would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Understand the sales process and participate in the processing of the business with excellence
  • Work with all systems required for the Sales Support Associate accountabilities of the sales and renewal process
  • Works with Sales team to ensure that proposals are processed and released in a complete and timely manner to our business partners
  • Work with Service and Sales teams to ensure that amendments are completed as per client request.
  • Understand the renewal process and participate in the processing of the business is key to the success of the Selectpac business.
  • Acknowledge and raise any revenue generating opportunities to the sales team
  • Miscellaneous Administration/Cross Functional Training/Professional Development
