About The Position

The Pricing Associate is responsible for the efficient and accurate administration of prospect quotes and alternative quotes, maintaining advisor records, and creating scheduled or on-demand statistical and summary reporting. This role plays a key part in ensuring our pricing processes run smoothly and that our advisors, clients, and carriers receive accurate, timely information. This is a 12-month contract role, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring one day per month in our Calgary office with the local team, and the remainder from home.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in group benefits or an administrative-related field is an asset
  • Completion of post-secondary education in mathematics or statistics is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming information for completeness and identify inconsistencies or inaccuracies in client census, plan design, rate history, and experience in order to produce quotes
  • Create prospect and alternative quotes by entering data into applicable software or underwriting arrangements for pricing by the RVP/BDM's, accurately adhering to all carrier underwriting guidelines
  • Maintain partner records on the CRM system
  • Create scheduled and on-demand summary and statistical reporting for advisors, clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders
  • Manage the pricing general email inbox and maintain the shared CRM dashboard
  • Accurately track correspondence and work items in a timely manner
  • Prepare an accurate sold quote before hand-off to the New Business department for setup
  • Suggest ways to improve and simplify existing processes
