About The Position

AYR Wellness is seeking a Sales Supervisor to manage the dispensary's sales floor in cooperation with the Assistant Manager and Lead Budtender(s). This role involves opening/closing the store, managing breaks, controlling patient flow, responding to patient inquiries, assisting budtenders, and ensuring cash controls are executed. The Sales Supervisor is expected to focus on patient care, customer service, employee engagement, and driving profitability through a positive patient experience. This will be achieved by educating teams, inspiring operational efficiency, and delivering effective coaching. The Sales Supervisor reports to the Dispensary Store Manager.

Requirements

  • Must stay current and adhere to all policies and regulations of the state cannabis agency.
  • Must meet age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agency.
  • Able to pass all background checks as required by state cannabis agency.
  • Able to accommodate scheduling that may include varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 1-3 years of experience.
  • Prior customer service experience in a hospitality, pharmacy, customer services or retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining all aspects of dispensary operations in strict compliance with Department of Health, municipal and state legal regulations.
  • Executing all Opening/ Closing Procedures, including all cash accounting procedures and reporting for end of day.
  • Adhering to cash handling standard operating procedures, including register checks to ensure there are no variances between cash actual and POS software.
  • Ensuring dispensary operations are prepared for service and patients.
  • Overseeing the sales floor to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Identifying and addressing employee issues on a timely basis, documenting appropriately in the Accountability Log, and making the Dispensary Store Manager aware of any concerns regarding performance management of employees.
  • Executing Product Knowledge Training to ensure the team is well-educated on the PA Medical Marijuana program, fundamentals of cannabis, and the entire menu of products.
  • Onboarding and training new hires in accordance with company standards.
  • Opening and closing the dispensary.
  • Hosting one-minute meetings/team huddles to inform the team about promos/new products, updates to ops, and announcements.
  • Ensuring the cleaning checklist is being consistently completed and all COVID-19 protocols are being met.
  • Managing the sales floor, ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Managing Online Orders/Curbside Reservations in an organized and timely manner.
  • Conducting sales floor observations, giving coaching/feedback to budtenders on how they communicate & engage with patients, and how they recommend products.
  • Maintaining store presentation in terms of visual assets and cleanliness.
  • Addressing and resolving patients’ concerns.
  • Ensuring all areas, including restrooms, are consistently clean, safe, and guest-ready.
  • Conducting Tech sweeps to ensure all technology is working properly and contacting IT if repairs are needed.
  • Ensuring that the visitor log is being fully filled out on a consistent basis with all necessary verifications provided.
