About The Position

The Bloomie’s Stylist inspires customers to purchase through expert styling and fashion advice, introducing customers to products and engaging them in ways that encourage return visits. The Stylist is knowledgeable about trends, brands, products, and styling, and works with customers in-store and online, either as walk-ins or by appointment. The role builds customer relationships and a personal clientele to maximize sales and repeat visits. Stylists sell across the full Bloomie’s and Bloomingdale’s inventory using technology resources to connect customers with products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
• Resourcefulness and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule during retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sell to walk-in and appointment customers, using the entire store assortment to build head-to-toe and home-related sales.
• Build a clientele, follow up with customers after each sale, and conduct outreach about new deliveries and product needs.
• Promote the loyalty program by selling applications and enrollments and following up to encourage future visits.
• Use digital selling tools to acquire online customers and connect online and in-store shopping.
• Partner with beauty stylists to cross-sell beauty products.
• Take measurements for simple alterations, including hems, cuffs, and sleeves.
• Merchandise new receipts, maintain visual forms, replenish and maintain the selling floor, and assist with promotional signing as needed.
• Support store operations, including order fulfillment, sales floor recovery, inbound receipt processing, and product protection.
• Participate in service and product education to maintain expert knowledge and support the customer-centric culture.
