About The Position

Microsoft’s Windows & Device Sales (WDS) organization partners with the world’s largest device and technology companies to ensure Microsoft’s software products and services are available on compelling hardware solutions globally. WDS generates a significant portion of Microsoft’s revenue and profits by building, marketing, and selling breakthrough AI-powered devices and cloud experiences with partners, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), device distribution and reseller channels, Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), and Silicon providers. As a Senior Deals Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team in WDS responsible for Pricing, Strategic Deals, and Investments. This team manages a large discretionary investments budget, oversees an extensive strategic deals portfolio, and leads investment strategy across a multi-billion-dollar incentive stack. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in Near Term Strategy (1-2 years out), Management Consulting, or Finance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in strategy consulting, finance, banking, technology, investment management, or other relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with bargaining and negotiation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, closing, and managing strategic deals and new business models with Microsoft’s hardware partner ecosystem in close collaboration with Finance Teams, Sales Teams and Business Planning Teams within Microsoft.
  • Partner across stakeholders including Senior Leadership, Finance, Business Planning, Engineering Groups, Account Sales/Marketing, Legal, and Operations to build and land strategic deals.
  • Build business case with supporting data to define goals and secure executive approvals.
  • Build subject matter expertise on ecosystem dynamics, market opportunities/gaps and product and compete strategies globally.
  • Own market research and analysis required to drive deal decisions.
  • Drive an ongoing and evolving accountability discipline with sales teams.
  • Identify new opportunities via product expansion and new geo coverage.
  • Manage, evolve, and improve the ROI of Strategic Deals and lead performance management discipline, including metrics, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Presenting deal performance and strategy to CVP leadership across Microsoft.
  • Guide leadership decision-making with best-in-class analytics and cohesive rational.
