Strategy & Enablement Manager, Wealth

Purpose UnlimitedToronto, ON
CA$145,000 - CA$150,000Hybrid

About The Position

Purpose is building one of Canada's most important independent wealth businesses – across two regulated channels, with a strategy that's clear and a leadership team that's ready to execute. What we need now is the person who closes the gap between the strategy and the scaled business on the other side of it. You will be the execution force behind our wealth strategy – the person who owns the initiative no one else is running, unlocks the growth sitting just outside our reach, and ensures that what's decided actually happens. You will sit directly beside the VP Client Experience and Strategy, with access to the whole business and accountability for moving it forward. This role is for someone who gets uncomfortable when things aren't moving. Owner's Mindset is not a value we display on a wall – it's how you already think.

Requirements

  • 4–8 years in wealth management, financial services, strategy consulting, or a high-growth regulated business – with direct exposure to both the client and operational sides
  • Demonstrated ownership of cross-functional initiatives with real accountability for outcomes – not support, ownership
  • Strong communicator in writing and in rooms – you can prepare a board-level brief and run a working session with equal confidence
  • AI fluency as a working tool – you use AI to do your best work, not as an experiment
  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Immigration sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working as a direct extension of a senior business leader's judgment
  • Familiarity with wealth management operations: onboarding, AUM reporting, advisor practice models, channel compliance
  • Experience designing or governing AI-assisted workflows
  • Comfort with advisor scoring models, pipeline analytics, or performance marketing measurement
  • Track record of building processes in a business that was outgrowing its infrastructure
  • Bilingual (English / French)

Responsibilities

  • Drive AUM growth through advisor consolidation: Own the advisor consolidation program end-to-end – from the prioritization model that identifies who to focus on, through the outreach strategy and pipeline, to the AUM that moves.
  • Operationalize the service model across both channels: Turn the Direct-to-Client to Direct-to-Advisor playbook from a relationship favor into a repeatable, scalable process. Design it, test it, measure it, and iterate until it works without you in the room.
  • Accelerate channel integration: Drive the integration of the advisory and investor specialist channels – coordinating across compliance, relationship managers, and portfolio management so the business moves as one rather than as parallel tracks.
  • Own the commercial intelligence layer: Design and govern the AI-assisted performance dashboards, advisor scoring models, and pipeline views that give the leadership team a clear picture of where the business is and where it's heading. You curate and interpret the signal; the AI generates the data.
  • Fix what's straining before it becomes a client issue: Identify the processes under growth pressure and redesign them. You spot the friction points before they become escalations.
  • Execute through ambiguity. When the situation is unclear, the information is incomplete, and the calendar is full, you make sound decisions and move. You know which call to make and which to escalate.
  • Build credibility fast, at every level. Advisors, Portfolio Managers, compliance, and senior leadership all tell you things they don't tell each other. You earn that by following through, every time.
  • Translate strategy into a functioning business. You take a direction from the VP Client Experience and Strategy and turn it into an owned project with a clear outcome, a timeline that holds, and the right people engaged in the right sequence.
  • Navigate the commercial and relational landscape simultaneously. You understand that every decision in this business has a revenue implication and a relationship implication – and you hold both in focus.
  • Govern AI-generated outputs with judgment. You will configure, direct, and validate AI tools across the wealth strategy function. You bring the judgment that determines what the AI gets right and where it needs to be corrected.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation including equity program.
  • Comprehensive group health and dental benefits and life insurance at little to no cost to you.
  • Lifestyle Spending Account for all your wellness needs.
  • Flexible paid time-off policy covering vacation, sick, and mental health days.
  • Paid parental leave for eligible employees with a top-up.
  • Generous Group RRSP matching and an optional TFSA program.
  • Training opportunities and tuition support year-round.
