About The Position
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys variety—part sales floor, part yard support, and all about getting the job done right. As a Sales Specialist, you'll provide exceptional customer service, process sales transactions, and help customers find the right products for their projects. You'll also step into the yard when needed to assist with product selection, loading materials, and ensuring customers leave with exactly what they need.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Customer service or sales experience (retail experience counts)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills (NetSuite experience is a plus)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work throughout the day
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- NetSuite experience is a plus
- Forklift experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide fast, friendly, and professional service
- Handle sales transactions, returns, and cash accurately
- Answer customer questions and recommend products that meet their needs
- Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business
- Support sales growth through customer outreach and follow-up
- Assist customers in the yard with product selection and loading
- Operate forklifts and other equipment when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others
- Arrive on time and ready to work
