About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Sales Specialist focused on High Voltage Equipment. The role begins with a strong emphasis on inside sales responsibilities, including order management, sales support, and documentation preparation. Over the first 12 to 18 months, the candidate will gain comprehensive experience in the complete sales cycle. Upon successful development and demonstrated performance, the role is expected to expand to include both inside and outside sales responsibilities for a designated territory, providing full account management, customer engagement, and business development opportunities. This position requires close collaboration with various internal departments and a willingness to travel domestically.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required.
  • Must be familiar and have practical experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, and other applicable software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process order entries; maintain and manage the order database.
  • Communicate effectively with inside and outside sales teams to provide comprehensive support; generate and manage all sales-related documentation.
  • Initially support assigned territories through inside sales activities, including customer communications, quotation support, and account coordination.
  • Assume both inside and outside sales responsibilities for designated territories while building and maintaining strong relationships with sales representatives, customers, and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with project management, procurement, engineering, accounting, and administrative teams.
  • Develop a broad understanding of cross-functional business processes to effectively support future customer-facing and territory management responsibilities.
  • Manage RFQs, RFIs, and proposal preparation and delivery; handle pre-qualifications (including managing customers’ registered websites and portals).
  • Process Purchase Orders and Change Orders; engage with accounting workflows as needed.
  • Develop an understanding of commercial, contractual, and financial processes that support both inside and outside sales functions.
  • Manage deadlines efficiently and respond promptly to internal and external inquiries.
  • Demonstrate organizational and communication skills necessary to successfully manage customer accounts and sales activities within an assigned territory in the future.
