About The Position

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), founded in 1953 and located in scenic Upstate NY, is a multi-campus institution with locations in Troy and Malta, New York. HVCC offers over 80 degree and certificate programs across three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). As part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, HVCC serves approximately 9,000 students annually and is recognized for its career and transfer preparation, workforce training, distance learning, and service to a diverse student population. The college has an extension center in Malta, NY (HVCC North) and sponsors the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center in Troy, NY. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with experience in college admissions/post-secondary education or student services.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel extensively within a 75-mile radius of HVCC.
  • Ability to lift and manage boxes of admission materials.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience and/or awareness of issues involving recruitment of identified special populations (International/foreign born).
  • Bilingual applicants strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage programs designed to increase enrollment in under enrolled programs.
  • Develop a working knowledge of all academic programs at HVCC and the required pre-requisites for the entry into each program.
  • Outreach to area high schools for classroom presentations in conjunction with academic departments.
  • Responsible for reviewing international documents and applications.
  • Responsible for coordinating Technology and/or Group Tours.
  • Assist the Admissions Office with on and off campus admission events.
  • Conducts Admissions informational meetings/presentations for parents and student groups both on and off campus.
  • Serves as the liaison between Admissions and designated campus office(s).
  • Develop a working knowledge of BANNER CRM Recruit, read files and enter decisions.
  • Maintains membership in professional education-related organizations.
  • Assists other offices within the Division of Enrollment Management & Student Development on an as-needed basis.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
