About The Position

The Sales Specialist, possessing a "can-do" attitude and an innovative spirit, will use their knowledge and experience to uncover new, enhanced, and more cost-effective ideas to sell equipment and grow the business within the Gulf Coast region (Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma). This role involves actively pursuing contractors to sell products directly to end users, educating and training contractor customers and municipal dealers on the Truvac Trailer line, their applications, operation, and features/benefits. The Sales Specialist must be able to operate the products and act as a key liaison between the factory and dealers/customers for problem-solving. They will establish personal relationships with rental organizations and contractor fleet customers/end users, support National and Strategic accounts locally, and transport product for demonstrations and training within the assigned region. The role requires reporting sales opportunities through CRM, maintaining accurate scheduling, submitting monthly accomplishment reports with a 90-day forecast, conducting regional sales meetings, and participating in national sales meetings and trade shows. Additionally, the Sales Specialist will recommend product changes and new product ideas, submit expense reports, develop competitive manufacturer profiles, ensure business conduct aligns with company mission and ethics, recommend sales and promotional ideas to Marketing, and assist Finance with credit and collections as needed. A 100% annual completion of ESGU sales training is required, along with timely follow-up on company-provided leads and updating their status in the CRM program. Other duties, assignments, and special projects may be assigned.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma Required
  • 1-3 years of proven sales experience
  • Minimum 2 years construction industry experience
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and ability to demonstrate understanding of mechanical products.
  • Must possess a Class A CDL or have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL license.
  • Good communication skills
  • A high degree of initiative, enthusiasm and sound decision making skills.
  • Travel 75% - 80% of work time.
  • Successful candidate must live in or be willing to relocate to this sales region.

Responsibilities

  • Actively pursue contractors in the region to sell products directly to end users.
  • Educate and train contractor customers and or municipal dealers on the Truvac Trailer line, their applications, operation, and features/benefits.
  • Operate the products.

  • Establish personal relationships with rental organizations, contractor fleet customers/end users within Region.
  • Support National and Strategic accounts locally.
  • Transport product to perform demonstrations and training within assigned region and track personal as well as dealer performed demonstration activity monthly.
  • Provide support and training to dealer as needed.
  • Report won, lost, or pending (opportunities) sales through CRM.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling of customer visits, trade shows, demonstrations, sales calls and activities in both Outlook calendar and company endorsed CRM software.
  • Submission of monthly accomplishment report including a rolling 90 day forecast for new business.
  • Conduct regional sales meetings as needed and participate in national sales meetings as required.
  • Attend and coordinate regional and national trade shows.
  • Recommend product changes as well as new product ideas.
  • Submission of expense reports on a timely basis.
  • Develop and maintain competitive manufacturers' profiles and report on their activity each month.
  • Ensure that all business conducted in the region is consistent with the company's mission statement and standard of ethical practices.
  • Recommend potential sales and promotional ideas to the Marketing Department.
  • Assist Finance Department on issues of credit and collections as required.
  • Complete 100% annual ESGU (product) sales training.
  • Assure timely follow up on company provided sales leads and ensure that status is updated into designated CRM program.
  • Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned.
