About The Position

Mission Foods is looking for a talented Sales Specialist to support its Sales Force in the Indianapolis, IN or Cincinnati, OH area. This role involves delivering racks, building displays, prospecting for new business, selling products and incremental space/displays, and developing strong trade relationships with customers. The Sales Specialist will also identify service issues, ensure Planograms (POGs) are utilized to increase customer purchases, and maintain sales tag integrity. Communication with Area Sales Managers and District Sales Managers is a key part of the role, as is keeping warehouses clean and maintained. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
2 Years of related experience in sales and/or merchandising.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Must live in the geographic area to ensure a reasonable commute and access to customers in the assigned district.
Able to lift/move up to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Some college preferred.
English and Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Delivers racks and builds displays in ways that encourage customers to buy products.
Prospect for new business.
Sell products and incremental space/displays.
Develop strong trade relationships with customers.
Identify service issues and potential service issues.
Ensures Planograms (POGs) are utilized to increase customer purchases.
Recommend how many products should be visible to the customer at a time, how high or how low the product should sit on shelving units and what related products should be on display nearby.
Ensure sales tag integrity through inspection and proper placement.
Check for voids.
Communicate back to Area Sales Manager and District Sales Managers daily and weekly.
Keep warehouses clean and maintained.
Perform other duties as assigned.
