The Upstream and Fluid Management Sales Specialist role for Cytiva is responsible for growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and/or territory/region on products or services. Establishes professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars. This position is part of the Commercial Organization and will be fully remote. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 4 plus years of experience developing, specifying, or supporting manufacturing operations in the pharmaceutical industry, bioprocess sales, field applications or technical support of bioprocessing consumables, hardware and software.
  • Deep understanding of the Biopharma/Biotech industry and Bioreactor, Mixing and single-use fluid management.
  • Willing to travel throughout specified geographic region and globally to participate in trainings, meetings and key projects.
  • Excellent communicator who can present complex material in simple terms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre- and post-sales support for the full Single Use Technology portfolio.
  • Serve as the clinical/technical expert to develop relationships with departmental and technical decision makers.
  • Partner with Account Executives to gain access to C-Suite decision makers.
  • Achieve orders and sales target for Single Use Technology portfolio in your assigned territory.
  • Forecast orders and sales within applicable sales funnel, tools, and reports.
  • Identify, design, and execute strategy for each key customer.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and other Sales Specialists to initiate development of new business opportunities.
  • Assist Account Managers throughout the sales process by providing technical expertise, conducting product demonstrations, installations, and product trainings.
  • Support customer projects with application knowledge and product information, answering product inquiries and giving end-to-end solution presentations.
  • Use market and product knowledge to assist sales teams in developing sales, marketing and customer account strategies.
  • Track and communicate industry trends, and competitive actions in order to provide expertise and advice to drive innovative product development.
