Help us help others, and join Team Unum today! General Summary: The Sales Solutions Consultant plays a critical role in supporting the growth and market adoption of Unum Care Hub. This position is responsible for managing inbound sales inquiries, delivering effective product demonstrations, and driving revenue through inside sales channels. The role requires a balanced sales approach—combining a proactive, opportunity seeking mindset with a collaborative, relationship oriented style. The Sales Solutions Consultant will work closely with Unum’s field sales and client management teams to identify, qualify, and advance high fit opportunities that align with Care Hub’s ideal client profile and ensure strong client product alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2–5 years of direct sales experience, preferably within health, wellbeing, benefits, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in consultative or solutions‑based selling, with experience managing a pipeline and closing business.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal partners, including field sales and client management teams.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Commitment to delivering high‑quality customer experiences and representing Unum’s values and service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and manage inbound sales inquiries for Unum Care Hub, providing timely, accurate, and consultative engagement to prospective clients and partners.
  • Conduct clear, compelling product demonstrations that effectively communicate Care Hub’s capabilities, differentiators, and value to employers and brokers.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities, advancing prospects through the sales cycle and contributing to revenue goals through inside sales efforts.
  • Partner closely with field sales representatives and client managers to ensure coordinated strategies, shared visibility, and seamless progression of opportunities.
  • Actively identify new opportunities and drive momentum while cultivating strong internal and external relationships to support long‑term success.
  • Focus on opportunities that align with Care Hub’s ideal client profile, ensuring strong client‑product fit and maximizing the likelihood of successful adoption.
  • Represent Care Hub with professionalism, clarity, and polish, ensuring a consistent and positive experience for all stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sales activity, pipeline status, and performance metrics to support forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, wellbeing and lifestyle benefit solutions, and competitive dynamics to support effective market positioning.
