This is a TERM position with a duration of 6 months to 30 months. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing network facilities and associated apparatus from station equipment to the line card. Duties include installing, removing, rearranging, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining voice, data, and ancillary equipment and network services. The technician will also install, maintain, and repair outside and inside plant equipment/facilities and inside wire, effect repairs and restore service outages, and perform cable pair recovery activity. A key part of the role is interfacing with customers to analyze installation and repair issues, responding, and providing follow-up. The technician will interpret schematic work order drawings, order/obtain required equipment, and perform problem-solving. They will utilize various test equipment to analyze equipment trouble and take appropriate maintenance action. Operation of standard and aerial lift vehicles, and various hand and power tools is also required. Additional duties may be assigned by the Company. Candidates cannot exceed 275 pounds due to equipment specifications for working aloft.
