About The Position

Curtis Lumber, a family-owned building materials retailer founded in 1890, is seeking experienced individuals to join their team as Sales Associates in the Seasonal department. This full-time position offers competitive pay ($18-$21 per hour plus annual performance-based raises) and a set schedule of 40+ hours per week, promoting a healthy work-life balance. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store and back storage areas, restocking products, handling phone calls, creating quotes and orders, and assisting customers with their needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with face-to-face, phone, and electronic sales, utilizing strong customer service and sales skills to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

Upkeep, cleanliness, maintenance, and restocking in the main store and back storage areas.
Intercepting phone calls.
Building quotes and orders for pick up or delivery.
Assisting with all customer needs as they enter the store.
Engaging in face-to-face, phone, and electronic sales.
Utilizing exceptional customer service and sales skills to meet or exceed company sales and margin goals.
Understanding the marketplace and product features.
Working to meet prospect customers’ needs.
Effective suggestive and upgrade selling and add-on sales.
