The route sales driver shall be responsible for driving a truck over an established route to deliver and sell products or render services of the dairy industry to customers' places of business. This role involves collecting money, making change, recording transactions, writing customer orders, soliciting new business, informing customers of new products, and resolving service complaints. The driver must adhere to all Department of Transportation regulations. Physical demands include climbing, crawling, and walking to load/unload product, stock shelves, set up displays, issue promotional materials, and collect returns. The role requires stacking and unstacking items weighing up to 50 pounds from a height of seven feet, and dragging stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds throughout the shift. The driver will work outdoors in extreme temperatures (over 100°F and below 32°F) and various weather conditions. Responsibilities also include maintaining truck cleanliness, performing routine maintenance, and operating the vehicle safely and courteously.
