About The Position

Microbiome Labs, a pioneer in gut health and part of Novonesis, is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Sales Representative for the Washington, DC area. This field-based role involves expanding the company's presence in the healthcare market by accelerating product adoption, building relationships with healthcare professionals, and improving patient outcomes. The position requires strategic territory planning, business development, and relationship management to drive sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving territory growth.
  • Strong hunter mentality with the ability to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to translate scientific concepts into clear, compelling insights for customers.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing a territory independently.
  • Proficiency using CRM systems and sales performance tracking tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively throughout the territory.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or related industries preferred.
  • Experience calling on healthcare practitioners, wellness clinics, or integrative healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of microbiome science, probiotics, digestive health, or nutritional supplements.
  • Experience presenting clinical or scientific information to healthcare audiences.
  • Success in a fast-growing or entrepreneurial sales environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive territory growth by prospecting, identifying, and developing new healthcare professional (HCP) accounts.
  • Execute strategic territory plans to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with healthcare practitioners through regular engagement and follow-up.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations, clinical discussions, and educational sessions in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Develop deep expertise in the Microbiome Labs portfolio and stay current with industry trends and competitive developments.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Track and analyze sales performance to identify opportunities and optimize territory strategy.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a seamless customer experience.
