About The Position

Rogers Group is currently seeking a Sales Representative for the Eastern Middle Tennessee area of operations, reporting directly to the SMA Aggregates Sales Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation across our existing operations and new operations as we grow.

Requirements

  • Experience and success in a sales environment preferred.
  • Sales experience in the aggregates, asphalt, construction, or related industry strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the marketing area is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Business or Construction Management preferred.
  • Proven sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Capable of demonstrating product knowledge, market conditions, and competition.
  • Excellent verbal, written communications, and presentation skills required.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Occasional overnight travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Increasing revenue and margins through disciplined market management.
  • Maintaining favorable and effective relationships with current customers.
  • Identifying and prospecting new customers and capturing information in Salesforce.
  • Favorably resolving customer complaints as necessary.
  • Analyze market trends and develop action plans to capitalize on shifts in the market.
  • Develop specific strategies to obtain new business.
  • Working with internal teams to ensure product quality and availability.
  • Assist in overseeing the sales process from pricing to preparing contracts, forecasting, and assisting in credit and collections.
  • Assessing sales functions and potential on prospective acquisitions.
