About The Position

Acumed LLC, as part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings (backed by Berkshire Hathaway), is seeking a Sales Representative in Seattle, Washington. This role involves exceeding sales quotas within an assigned territory by delivering Acumed products, providing high-quality technical assistance in the Operating Room (OR), and driving market acceptance and adoption of Acumed Products using technical and surgical knowledge. The Sales Representative will continuously assess the customer base to identify new business opportunities, develop targeted sales strategies, and ensure proactive follow-up on all leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (business or medical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years demonstrated successful sales experience (preferably in the medical device or industry)
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other surgical personnel
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships (with surgeons & hospitals in respective areas)
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Must be comfortable in emergency/operating room environments
  • Must be able to gain necessary credentialing for hospital access
  • Reliable transportation
  • The responsibilities of this position include frequent surgery visits/observations. The incumbent will be required to obtain hospital-required credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Execute business plans to identify and close new business.
  • Identify the needs of new prospects and develop/deliver appropriate responses (written, telephone, and face-to-face).
  • Perform field sales calls for assigned accounts and territory, including "on-call" and operating room consultation.
  • Provide accounts with excellent post-sale follow-up, including communication and management of delivery dates, in-service training, and coordination of product replenishment.
  • Communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding product updates, changes to Acumed’s product portfolio, and medical educational programs.
  • Cross-sell additional products and introduce new products to current and new accounts.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and solve customer problems by promptly addressing any issues, concerns, or problems that arise on assigned accounts.
  • Maintain customer records in accordance with Acumed specifications using the Company’s CRM tool.
  • Drive compliance and the principles of responsibility of the AdvaMed code of conduct by maintaining privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting assets, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
  • Work with sales leadership to coach, train, or mentor Associate Sales Representatives as needed.
  • Maintain current training in sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Maintain current knowledge on the medical device industry, Acumed customers, and competitive trends.
  • Actively participate in and attend tradeshows, sales meetings, promotional activities, and professional association meetings as needed, both inside and outside of regular business hours.
