About The Position

As a Sales Representative at Crescent Electric, you will be responsible for prospecting and soliciting orders within the guidelines established by management, identifying client needs, proposing solutions, products and their applications, selling products and services to a wide range of clients, accepting and responding to customer inquiries and processing orders received within an assigned geographical territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (preferred); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel often in the assigned territory and occasionally travel to attend company and vendor activities and events.

Responsibilities

  • Sell products and services.
  • Perform proactive tele sales to customers assigned by branch or district manager.
  • Expedite total customer service by providing product pricing to customers as requested, promptly and efficiently handle customer requests received by telephone, facsimile, or email, and assist and resolve customer problems.
  • Interact and work with Purchasing Department, account managers, quotations specialists, product champions, and other branch personnel to provide competitive quotations and to exchange customer needs information.
  • Back up and support counter sales representatives and warehouse personnel, as necessary.
  • Obtain and maintain product knowledge, product inventory, and know major competitor lines, attend training sessions and sales meetings, understand product applications to aid customers in their selections, and maintain a current library of reference material.
