About The Position

The Sales Representative will analyze their territory and develop strategies to achieve all assigned sales quotas, including capital equipment, disposable products, and specialty/strategic new product initiatives. This role involves selling, promoting, and supporting all company products, programs, and services to healthcare facilities such as hospitals, surgery centers, doctor’s offices, and clinics within the assigned sales territory. The representative will also provide and support educational programs on electrosurgery and Erbe technology to the customer base. Participation in and support of tradeshows and meetings within the territory, as well as occasional events outside the territory, is expected. Timely submission of sales reports, forecasts, expense reports, and activity reports to management is crucial. The role requires sound fiscal management of business-related expenses and demonstration equipment, staying within assigned budgets. Responsibilities include timely handling of customer communications and sales leads, generating and monitoring accurate sales quotes, conducting product evaluations, and providing in-service training. The representative must immediately notify the company of any potential product complaints, documenting and maintaining records for QA/RA compliance. Maintaining demonstration inventory in good condition and returning it for service within the instructed timeframe is also required. Building solid relationships with both in-house and field employees and assisting in the development of luminary sites for excellent evaluation outcomes are key. Collaboration with the marketing team to develop promotional and advertising materials is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required.
  • 3+ years’ overall sales experience with particular emphasis on experience in a medical, pharmaceutical or other healthcare sales capacity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as are strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to handle a high volume of work while meeting appropriate deadlines.
  • Demonstrated high quality computer skills including MS Office, Outlook and some exposure to web-based CRM and other sales tools.
  • Must possess the ability to understand and convey complex information to a variety of offices in addition to having superior sales skills.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Employees must not be specifically barred from working with Federal contracts, government entities or otherwise listed on excluded parties list as maintained by the Federal government.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in and supports tradeshows and meetings within the assigned territory and any such events outside the territory as may be deemed necessary.
  • Provides management in a timely manner with all required sales reports, forecasts, expense reports, case and weekly activity reports.
  • Practices sound fiscal fundamentals in the daily management of business activities regarding business-related expenses and the use of demonstration equipment, product samples, supplies, etc.
  • Stays within assigned expense and sample budgets.
  • Handles customer communications and follow-up on sales leads in timely manner, generates and monitors accurate sales quotes, conducts product evaluations and provides accounts with adequate in-service for products.
  • Notifies company immediately of any potential complaints relating to all products sold; documents and maintains records to support QA/RA department in compliance with all QSR requirements.
  • Maintains demonstration inventory in good condition and returns upon request for technical service, calibration and replacement within the instructed time frame.
  • Complies with all company policies and builds solid relationships with both in-house and field employees.
  • Assists in the development of luminary sites within assigned territory to ensure excellent evaluation outcomes.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to develop and produce promotional and advertising materials.
