About The Position

Join the Griffin Team as a Green Goods Sales Representative! This role is for individuals passionate about horticulture and sales, who enjoy helping customers grow their businesses and gardens. You will work with diverse clients, including wholesale distributors and retail outlets, providing them with top-quality plants, seeds, and horticultural supplies. Requirements

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Knowledge of horticultural products, including plants and gardening supplies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building customer relationships.
  • Ability to travel regularly within your designated territory.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with computer systems (Onliant or similar systems is a plus).

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous sales experience in the horticultural or agricultural industry is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with retail and wholesale distribution is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build lasting relationships with existing clients and seek out new business opportunities.
  • Showcase a diverse range of products, including plants, seeds, and horticultural supplies.
  • Provide expert advice to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Travel throughout the designated territory to meet customers, attend trade shows, and network within the industry.
  • Accurately estimate delivery dates.
  • Resolve payment issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
  • Engage with customers in various settings such as residential areas, sales offices, showrooms, and garden centers.
