About The Position

Hirano America, Inc. is seeking a bilingual Sales Representative to serve as the primary North American contact for customers using equipment manufactured by Hirano Tecseed in Japan. Based in the Atlanta-area office in Norcross, Georgia, this role focuses on existing-customer relationships, after-sales service coordination, and clear communication between customers, Hirano America, and the Japan headquarters. You will maintain regular contact with customers, primarily battery manufacturers; coordinate maintenance, troubleshooting, parts, and modification requests; gather customer needs and relay accurate information to Japan; maintain installed-base records; and support quotations and billing documentation. You will also coordinate schedules among service engineers, local partners, and customers; collect market and competitor information; help develop service agreements; and provide initial support for new customer inquiries. The role also supports visiting staff from Japan with travel logistics, on-site coordination, and English communication. It covers customers across North America and includes travel within the United States and Canada, particularly to Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Arizona, and Ontario.

Requirements

  • Advanced or business-level Japanese communication skills for daily email and online coordination with the Japan sales team.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Experience in customer-facing work, coordination, customer support, service coordination, or sales.
  • For experienced sales candidates, outside-sales experience is required; the focus is relationship management with existing customers rather than aggressive new-business acquisition.
  • Candidates without sales experience may be considered if they have several years of professional experience after college and strong Japanese proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn, work flexibly, and contribute beyond narrowly defined responsibilities in a small office environment.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, and other basic office software.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10–20% within the United States and Canada and occasionally enter factory environments using appropriate PPE.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
