About The Position

Maximize revenue and profits within the assigned territory. Represent SMS Equipment and conduct business transactions on their behalf. Study the market situation, set goals and objectives, plan prospecting activities accordingly. Prepare daily and weekly report on sales activities. Determine the requirements of new and existing customer, assess their equipment, and recommend the proper equipment needed to meet their expectations. Prepare business proposals and have them approved by the Operations Manager. Ensure that the customer receives proper and adequate information on the operation and maintenance of the product purchased. Inform the clientele of price, terms and conditions, warrantees, delivery date and credit options. Perform any other tasks assigned by Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Well versed in construction, mining, and forestry equipment. Having a broad understanding of equipment operations and function is a definite asset.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of successful external selling experience.
  • Skillful at building strong relationships.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Outlook.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Must be available to travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
