About The Position

Similkameen Forest Products, part of the Gorman Group of Companies, is a dimensional lumber operation located in Princeton, British Columbia. We are seeking a driven and skilled Sales Representative to join our team. Based out of West Kelowna, BC, this position offers national travel opportunities and plays a key role in expanding our customer base and supporting the sale of our commodity lumber products. As a Sales Representative, you will work closely with customers, internal teams, and senior leadership to ensure our customers receive the quality products and service they expect. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in forestry, commodity wood products, or manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under market-driven pressure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales tools, and data-driven marketing strategies.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong customer base by marketing the company’s products.
  • Build trust-based relationships with customers and be accountable for growing the organization’s customer base.
  • Ensure sales align with pricing structures set by senior leadership.
  • Maintain sales volumes at levels set by senior leadership to meet business objectives.
  • Adapt to fast-changing market conditions while maintaining sales performance.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with customers, co-workers at all levels, and senior leadership.
  • Analyze sales data, track key performance metrics, and report on market trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal production teams to support sales activities and coordinate timely order fulfillment.
  • Attend trade shows and networking events as required to represent the company.
