Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, BS or BA in Marketing preferred
  • Prior experience in business sales preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to set priorities, analyze problems, work independently, and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Quote railroad products to customers IE: crossties, switch ties and bridge materials
  • Order management and follow-up
  • Provide customer service, including inquiries, order tracking, and feedback
  • Interface with plant locations concerning inventory, production, freight rates and logistics
  • Provide support for outside sales managers
  • Follow procedures established by credit, logistics and tax departments
