About The Position

GlacierPoint Enterprises is a leader in the ice cream distribution industry, primarily delivering ice cream, but also delivering frozen food, beverages, and a variety of other products to a host of customers on the East Coast. As a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) organization, we deliver product from our supplier/distributor directly to a retail store, thereby bypassing a retailer’s distribution center. Requirements

  • Sales Merchandising, Direct Store Door sales experience
  • 2-4 years sales experience, grocery or convenience preferred
  • PC literate, must have PC accessibility

Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned volume targets by key account and total territory
  • Sell and merchandise within authorized POG’s at all assigned accounts.
  • Influence store personnel to achieve volume goals.
  • Utilize handheld to perform all product ordering and other functions on a timely basis as set forth by management guidelines.
  • Work closely with store management and backroom personnel to insure that orders are not refused.
  • Insure that sales territory is prepared for vacation relief personnel to effectively manage assigned territories
  • Merchandise all sales to maximize productivity, visibility and inventory turnover.
  • Insure proper sales ordering to eliminate customer out of stocks.
  • Performs merchandising responsibilities including opening cartons/sleeves, stocking shelves, putting up shelf tags, POG compliant and rotating product to ensure fresh products are always available to the consumer
  • Perform & execute store resets based upon account or JJ management requests.
  • Communicates product varieties, promotions, services and policies to accounts.
  • Performs merchandising responsibilities including opening cartons/sleeves, stocking shelves, pricing product (if necessary), and rotating product to ensure fresh product is always available to the consumer
  • Maintains personal contacts with customers to promote goodwill. Communicates new products, promotions, company services and other general information of interest to customers. Follows through in the performance of all services requested by store management.
  • Executes call coverage itinerary developed RRM/DFM to ensure full coverage of assigned territory.
  • Perform account resets and POG implementation per Sales Director/RFM/DFM
  • Reports competitive activity to District Filed Manager. Submits other reports as assigned by Manager.
  • Reports problems to Regional Field Manager/District Field Manager and recommends measures for their solutions.
  • Performs other work related duties as assigned
