About The Position

Vidor Garage Door is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Representative to drive revenue growth and build lasting customer relationships throughout Utah, with a primary focus on the Wasatch Front and rural and secondary markets. This role is responsible for generating new business, managing existing accounts, providing product expertise, and guiding customers through the sales process from initial inquiry to project completion. The Sales Representative serves as a trusted advisor to builders, contractors, designers, architects, and homeowners, helping customers identify the best garage door solutions for their projects while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing roles.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of achieving goals and delivering results.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time-management and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Gmail, and CRM software.
  • Ability to learn technical product information and communicate it effectively to customers.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to travel to secondary markets as needed.
  • Ability to travel throughout the state, including visits to customers, job sites, and industry events.
  • Occasional overnight travel during the week may be necessary based on business needs and territory coverage.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
  • Experience in construction products, building materials, garage doors, home improvement, or related industries.
  • Existing relationships within the builder, contractor, or design communities.
  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, developers, designers, architects, and homeowners.
  • Identify, prospect, and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, industry events, and direct outreach.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate garage door products and solutions.
  • Generate accurate quotes, proposals, and project estimates.
  • Follow up on leads and opportunities to maximize sales conversions.
  • Process orders, collect approvals, and assist with payment collection as needed.
  • Grow and maintain a portfolio of repeat customers and referral partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process.
  • Educate customers on product features, benefits, specifications, and installation requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Manage customer warranty requests and coordinate resolutions.
  • Document customer interactions, opportunities, quotes, and project updates within Salesforce CRM.
  • Conduct job site visits, providing accurate measurements, and site readiness evaluations.
  • Gather accurate project information to support quoting and installation requirements.
  • Collaborate with operations, installation, and customer service teams to ensure project success.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Vidor Garage Door products, services, and industry trends.
  • Ensure accuracy in quoting, ordering, and customer communications.
  • Represent Vidor Garage Door at trade shows, home shows, Parade of Homes events, golf tournaments, and networking opportunities.
  • Promote company products and services to prospective customers and industry partners.
  • Stay informed on market conditions, competitor offerings, and industry developments.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen Vidor’s presence within the building and design community.
