About The Position

Steve Marsh Ford is seeking a motivated and personable Automotive Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. In this position, you will guide guests through their entire vehicle purchase journey, from the initial warm greeting on the showroom floor to the final delivery. We are looking for natural relationship-builders who possess excellent communication skills and a positive, goal-oriented mindset. We provide a steady stream of inbound floor traffic and digital leads, giving you every tool necessary to maximize your unit sales and commissions from day one. Whether you are an experienced automotive pro or a retail expert looking to upgrade your career, we provide the training and team support you need to thrive.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Ability to commute to Milan, TN.
  • Professional appearance, punctual work ethic, and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset with a strong internal drive to meet and exceed monthly goals.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to handle customer objections professionally and confidently.
  • Comfort using digital tools, texting apps, and email to stay in touch with active buyers.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous sales experience in retail, hospitality, wireless, real estate, or automotive is preferred but not required. We will train the right attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly, build rapport, assess their automotive needs, and guide them to the ideal new Ford or pre-owned vehicle.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Ford vehicle lineup, including trim packages, towing capacities, and technological features to conduct expert presentations and test drives.
  • Work transparently alongside Sales Managers to present pricing, trade-in valuations, and financing configurations to guests.
  • Maintain detailed customer profiles and proactive follow-up schedules in the dealership CRM platform to foster repeat business and client referrals.
  • Oversee the vehicle delivery process, ensuring the vehicle is meticulously detailed and the customer is comfortable with their new vehicle settings.
  • Achieve high Customer Service Index scores by delivering an easy, transparent, and pressure-free buying experience.
