About The Position

Waste Pro is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Sales Representative to grow our presence in the Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale market. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and building long-term partnerships across commercial, industrial, and municipal customers. This is a high-impact, field-based sales role for a motivated professional who thrives on prospecting, consultative selling, and closing deals that deliver real value to customers and communities. Requirements

  • Proven success in B2B sales, preferably in outside or territory-based roles
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume pipeline and multiple accounts
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within the territory
  • Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience. Relevant work experience can substitute for formal education.
  • 1-2 years of sales, marketing, or business development experience, ideally in the Waste Services Industry with a strong focus on Commercial Sales.
  • At least 1 year of progressive sales experience with a proven track record in achieving targets and driving revenue.
  • Expertise in consultative and solutions-based selling.
  • Proven ability to negotiate, manage bids, handle contracts, and forecast/report sales performance.
  • Experience in client interaction, account management, sales presentations, and negotiation.
  • Strong skills in pricing strategies, closing sales, and forecasting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with superior organizational, problem-solving, and presentation abilities.
  • A high degree of integrity, professionalism, and a customer-first attitude.
  • Ability to maintain a strong, professional presence in all client and business interactions.
  • Familiar with sales automation tools and CRM software to streamline the sales process.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in developing sales strategies that drive growth, manage costs, and identify new opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge of the Waste Industry, competitors, and external factors influencing client purchasing decisions.
  • Strong ability to research market trends, perform financial analysis, and develop pricing strategies.
  • Skilled at solving problems and overcoming sales obstacles through creative and adaptive strategies.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively within your designated sales area.
  • High degree of independence, yet a strong team player who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in waste, recycling, or industrial services is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new commercial and municipal accounts within the assigned territory
  • Maintain and grow relationships with current customers to ensure retention and expansion opportunities
  • Understand customer needs and recommend tailored waste and recycling solutions
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to maximize market penetration in Pompano/Fort Lauderdale
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue goals
  • Conduct regular in-person visits, calls, and presentations with key decision-makers
  • Prepare pricing proposals, bids, and contract renewals in collaboration with internal teams
  • Monitor competitors, pricing trends, and local market conditions to stay competitive
  • Partner with operations, finance, and marketing to ensure service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and activity reporting using company systems
  • Represent Waste Pro at local events, networking groups, and industry functions
