About The Position

As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role working daily to build business relationships with customers and to deliver Messer's superior standards of customer service. You will identify and attract new customers while maintaining good relationships with existing customers to increase sales and exceed customer expectations. You will earn, retain and grow customer accounts to contribute to the achievement of sales, service and profitability objectives in a specific sales territory. You will also support and develop sales strategies, work in collaboration with specialists / technical representatives, branches and support functions to achieve objectives, and contribute to overall region performance as a member of the regional sales and branch team.

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration or Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • 2+ years’ sales experience, preferably within an industrial environment
  • Commercial and negotiation competence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of modern business systems
  • Knowledge and experience with CRM systems
  • Understanding of the various welding processes and techniques
  • Delivery of exceptional sales targets
  • Understanding processes and mechanical proficiency
  • Capable of developing sales proposals
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, and excellent presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel

Nice To Haves

  • IP – Welding or similar trade qualifications desirable
  • SAP skills desirable
  • Messer product knowledge is desirable
  • Knowledge of gas applications across different industries with an aptitude for technical sales solutions
