About The Position

Carlson Distributing, Utah's largest beer distributor, is seeking a Sales Representative to manage and grow an established territory in the Ogden area. This role involves working primarily with convenience stores, bars, restaurants, and other small format retail accounts, representing well-known beverage brands. The position offers the chance to take ownership of a territory, build customer partnerships, drive sales growth, and earn performance-based incentives. It is ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently, influencing business decisions, and seeing the direct impact of their efforts.

Requirements

  • Sales, account management, customer service, merchandising, or relationship-building experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence decisions and build trust with customers.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and business awareness.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, including merchandising displays and handling beverage products as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary business partner for customers throughout the territory.
  • Identify opportunities to grow sales and improve account performance.
  • Build strong relationships with store owners, managers, and decision-makers.
  • Grow sales through new item distribution, promotional execution, and expanded product placement.
  • Identify opportunities to increase volume, gain additional shelf space, secure displays, and grow market share.
  • Introduce new products and sales programs to customers.
  • Manage customer orders and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Monitor account performance and recommend solutions that drive growth.
  • Ensure merchandising standards and displays are executed effectively.
  • Manage territory, schedule, and priorities with a high level of ownership and accountability.
