About The Position

KEMET Electronics / YAGEO Group is seeking a Sales Representative in the Milpitas, CA area to support the Northern California market. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within the high-tech sales environment. It is ideal for individuals looking to advance into broader sales responsibilities. This individual will be responsible for driving business growth by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and promoting KEMET's broad portfolio of electronic components. The Sales Representative will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to understand application requirements, provide technical product solutions, and deliver exceptional customer service while supporting the company's strategic sales objectives.

Requirements

  • BS in Electronic Engineering or BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiently
  • Minimum 3 years of previous sales experience with demonstrated track record of growth and interested in building upon their successful track record in sales
  • Must be experienced with solutions-based selling and approach to solving customer’s problems

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales plans.
  • Develop relationships with key accounts and distribution partners.
  • Work with engineering and supply chain personnel at key accounts to design in KEMET and gain approval on AVL/BOM’s.
  • Train distribution on all KEMET/YAGEO products.
  • Keep management informed of trends in market and advise any adverse issues which may impact ability to reach agreed upon goals.
  • Support Pricing Analyst with major RFQs.
  • Build intra-company teamwork between Customer Service/Production and the needs of the customer.
  • Assess marketplace for vulnerabilities in development of targeted Customer opportunities.
